description This image is a watercolor conceptual painting of an office skyscraper with a bank on the first two floors done by an unknown student sometime between 1917 and 1942. The upper two thirds of the painting shows a front view of the building with its doors, windows, stone carvings, decorative ironwork, architectural moldings and sloped roof. The building is on a street corner with buildings and a street on the left and more buildings on the same block on the right. There are people going in and out of the bank. The lower third of the painting shows the floor plans of the building with its rooms, walls, corridors, doorways, windows, staircases, elevators, and skylights. The floor plans for the first two floors are for the bank with its counters, bank vaults, vestibules, and lobbies. Along the lower right edge, there is an inscription which reads "First Medal," a red star, and an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp. The painting is in poor condition missing all four corners including the one with the label giving the artist's information and is encapsulated.
