Description
Summary:This image is a watercolor conceptual painting of the stair hallway inside a monument done by an unknown student sometime between 1917 and 1942. On the left, the painting shows the front view of the monument building with its steps, stone walls, doors, windows, columns, and statues placed on either side of the steps and above the door. There are people on the steps. On the left, there is a interior cross section side view showing the interior of the stair hallway with its stairs, columns, and windows. Below the cross section view is a floor plan showing the hallway, stairs, columns, and windows. There are two labels in the lower right corner which read: "School of Architecture Architectural Renderings, RG 457, Original number 51, 'A monumental stair hall,'" and "51." The painting is in fair condition missing only the upper left corner and is encapsulated.
