Description
Summary:This image is a watercolor painting of a conceptual drawing and floor plan for a memorial hall done by J.E. Wood in 1931. The painting shows the basic floor plan of the hall with markings for the walls, windows, hallways, doorways, columns, steps, and the artistic designs on the floors, all arranged around a center room with steps to a raised platform containing a short wall opposite the entrance. In the space for the center room is a sketch of part of a world map, presumably the design that is on the wall at the back of the platform. There are two stickers in the lower right corner which read: "School of Architecture, Architectural Renderings, RG 457, Original Number 36, 'Memorial hall,' 1931, J.E. Wood" and "36." The painting is in excellent condition and is encapsulated.
