The firehouse is situated on a street with buildings on either side and a tree in the background. There is a horse-drawn carriage with driver, two men and a woman on the street. The firehouse is placed within framing art showing its architectural features including close-ups of the door and iron railing, a floor plan and various scales. In the lower right corner, there is an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp with a handwritten inscription "2nd Medal." The painting is in good condition with minor edge wear and is encapsulated.
