There is a woman in period dress standing by the door. The house is placed within framing art showing its architectural features including a floor plan and a close-up of the columns and the molding under the roof. In the lower right corner, there is an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp with the handwritten inscription "1st H. Mention"? and a sticker which reads: "W.C. Baker, Jr., Alabama Polytechnic Institute, measured problem, major problem no." The painting is in excellent condition and is encapsulated.
