This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 1st edition, 1981, depicting the history of the city and the University. From page 204: The Auburn Knights have graduated many excellent musicians since 1930. One of their star singers, Toni Tennille, went on to a successful career in television and as a recording artist. So did another member of this 1959-60 band, saxophonist Dave Edwards (second from Toni's left), who played with Lawrence Welk's orchestra. Another Knights alumnus, trombonist Urbie Green, was the only sideman featured on camera in the movie, The Benny Goodman Story. Gerald Yelverton was ranked in the top ten of the nation's great jazz clarinetists. Incidentally, Toni Tennille's father, Frank Tennille, sang with the first Knights' Orchestra.
