Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 3rd edition, 2013, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 340: The Auburn Beautification Council was established in 1972 on a $500 grant from Auburn Rotarians, and it almost immediately created the Tidy Tiger Award to recognize individuals and businesses for efforts to make their property more attractive.
