description This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 3rd edition, 2013, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 298: Tracy Rocker won both the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award as the nation's outstanding lineman in 1988 and was an All-American for the second straight season. The 278-pound defensive tackle was a dominant lineman for four years, during which Coach Pat Dye's teams won two SEC championships and compiled a record of 37-9-2. Rocker made 354 tackles in his Auburn career, 48 of which were behind the line of scrimmage. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004. After playing two years in the National Football League and coaching at Ole Miss, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Troy State, and West Alabama, he returned to his alma mater as defensive line coach for new Head Coach Gene Chizik.
