Description
Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 3rd edition, 2013, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 383: The Tiger Pause precision dancers enlivened "Hey Day" with a spirited routine for students gathered near the Eagle's Cage in 1997. (Some years later the group was renamed "Tiger Paws.") The talented '97 team performed at football games and men's and women's basketball games, alumni functions, Camp War Eagle, gymnastics and swim meets, the Miss Glom Pageant, the Miss Fall Rush event, pep rallies, the Vet School Open House, and, when time permitted, at elementary schools and charity events. The 1996 Tiger Pause had a special memory, dancing in the opening ceremony of the summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. Photo source: Glomerata, Auburn University Archives.
