Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 3rd edition, 2013, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 313: As Auburn's "License to Learn" program neared its 21st birthday in 2009; more than $24 million in AU car tags had been sold since it all began in 1988. ... The scholarships range from $1,500 a year for valedictorian/achievement scholarships to $750-1,500 for leadership scholarships. In the 2008-2009 school year, 825 scholarships were awarded, totalling nearly $1.2 million. ... The first two recipients of scholarships, Jeff Baumbach of Huntsville and Meredith Bell of Montgomery, are seen at graduation in June 1993.
