Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 1st edition, 1981, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 45: This First Baptist Church building was erected in 1892 about where the south end of the present Sunday School Annex extends. It faced on College Street and also had an entrance on Tichenor Avenue. The first of two earlier churches that Auburn Baptists built on the same lot was used as a Confederate hospital.
