Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 1st edition, 1981, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 112: Wilbur Hutsell and Snitz Snider were Auburn's delegates to the 1928 Olympic Games at Amsterdam. Hutsell coached the winning 1,600-meter relay team, and Snider competed in the 400-meter run. Hutsell served as an Olympic coach three times and had four Olympic performers from Auburn. The others were Percy Beard, second in the 120-yard high hurdles in 1932; Whitey Overton, 1948 steeplechase; and Jim Dillion, third in the discus in 1952. Photo source: Auburn University Archives.
