Summary:This image is a photograph used in the book Auburn, a Pictorial History of the Loveliest Village by Mickey Logue and Jack Simms, 3rd edition, 2013, depicting the history of the city and the university. From page 148: Workmen began preparing this hollow in 1934, during the Great Depression, to build Auburn Stadium, but federal work-relief money dried up for the project until 1938. The first 7,500 seats, at the bottom of today's lower west stands, were completed in 1939. ... Missing from this photograph, the modern pharmacy building, Thach and Tichenor Halls, and Haley Center.
