Summary:This document is a letter from Charles William Tait to Robert Tait, his younger brother. Charles, a plantation owner in Colorado County, Texas, and Robert were two of the sons of James Asbury Tait, a plantation owner in Wilcox County, Alabama. The letter discusses the recent birth of Charles' second son, a visit from Charles' and Robert's brother James, bear-hunting, and a shortage of breeding stock for horses and hunting dogs. The Tait family were plantation owners in Wilcox County, Alabama; active in politics in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
