Summary:This document is a collection of accounts related to management of the Post Office for Black's Bluff, Wilcox County, Alabama, written by James Asbury Tait from 1840-1850 and 1855. These accounts were recorded in a notebook that also served as a memorandum book for James Asbury Tait during 1839-1850. The Tait family were plantation owners in Wilcox County, Alabama; active in politics in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. James Asbury Tait also served as Post Master for Black's Bluff.
