Summary:This document is a detailed list of enslaved women working on the Tait plantations, along with their children. The list was written by James Asbury Tait, probably during or later than 1844, since the last date recorded in the list is December 26, 1843. The list was written in a notebook, which was also used to record a list of books owned by the Tait family. The Tait family were plantation owners in Wilcox County, Alabama; active in politics in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
