Grid lines are drawn to shown townships. A phrase "Entered according to Act of Congress in the Year 1855 by J.H. Colton & Co. in the Clerks Office of the District Court for the Southern District of New York" is printed right above the bottom neat line. The number "12" is printed at lower left corner and "No. 51" is printed at the upper right corner of the map. A map key is provided at the right side for reference. A general profile of the state of Mississippi is provided on the back. The map is an original printed copy and is encapsulated. There are torn parts on four sides and some mending in the lower portion of the map. Except for these, the main body of the map is still in good shape. |
