Summary:This image is a map of the state of Alabama, showing the geographic features in 1838. Rivers and their tributaries throughout Alabama and the neighboring states are shown in details. Relief in the north is shown by hachure. Counties are highlighted by the use of different colors. Cities, towns, Forts, and important railroads are clearly labeled. A phrase "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the Year 1838, by T.G. Bradford in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of Massachusetts" is printed below the bottom neat line. The map is an original printed copy and is encapsulated. Except for some torn parts on the left side of the map, the map is still in good condition.
