Description
Summary:This image is a map of the state of Alabama, showing the stage and steamboat routes. There is a chart on the left showing details on the steamboat routes from Mobile to Tuscaloosa, from Mobile to Montgomery, and from Mobile to Pensacola, Florida. There is a map key on the right explaining the data and symbols used on the map. The map also shows rivers, counties, cities, towns, and forts. Relief is shown by hachure. Lands and boundaries of native Indians - Creek, Cherokee, Choctaw, and Cherokee - are highlighted and labeled clearly. A phrase " Entered according to Act of Congress, the 5th day of April 1830, by H.S. Tanner, of the State of Pennsylvania" is printed below the bottom neat line. The map is an original printed copy and is encapsulated. It is in a poor condition because there are a lot of missing pieces along the fold lines and the colors are fading. But the main information is still legible.
