The map shows contour lines, mountains, rivers, creeks, a swamp, railroads, roads, cities, towns, buildings, and boundaries with neighboring counties. The map is prepared by U. S. Geological Survey. The contributors are acknowledged in the lower left side of the map and are stated as follows: “H.M. Wilson, Geographer in charge. Triangulation by the U. S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Topography by J.W. Thom, Hersey Munroe, Nat.G. Van Doren and A.H. Bumstead”. The survey was done in 1897 and 1898. The contour interval is 50 feet and Datum is mean sea level. The projection information is stated as "Polyconic projection. 1927 North American datum". The map scale is displayed in the bottom center of the map. There is a subtitle: "FORT PAYNE, ALA.-GA." with a location and type index "N3400-W8530/30" right below it in the lower right side of the map. The map is an original printed copy and is laminated. The map is in very good condition.
