In the bottom left margin, there is a statement mentioning that the soil survey was done by "R.T. Avon Burke and Part 1908." Names of the persons in charge of different offices are mentioned on the map and are listed as follows: "Milton Whitney, Chief of U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Bureau of Soils, Eugene A. Smith, State Geologist of Geological Survey of Alabama." The map is printed by "Sackett & Wilhelms Litho. & Prg.Co. New York." It is an original printed copy and is encapsulated. Except for some minor wear around the edges and folding lines, the map is in good condition. |
