| Summary: | This image is a map of the old federal highway road system in Lowndes County, Alabama. The map shows a portion of the Old Federal Road running through the Fort Deposit Hill. The map also shows a section of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad and the present day U.S. Highway that intersects with the Old Federal Road. The intersection is near the historic site of Fort Deposit and the town of Fort Deposit. Rivers are also shown on the map. There is a compass rose in the upper right corner showing the orientation of north. An "Auburn University Libraries, Auburn, Alabama, Map Collection" property stamp dated July 16, 1990 is in the lower right corner. "Sheet #16" is handwritten below the stamp. In each corner, there is a handwritten "16" in red. This is a photocopy of a hand drawn blueprint and is not encapsulated. The map is in fair condition with some blue stains on the creases. Even though there are some torn parts in the lower right and lower left corners, the main part of the map is not affected.
