Summary:This image is a map which shows the old federal highway system from Lettered Beach leading to Fort Decatur and from Lettered Beach to the west along Calebee Creek in Macon County, Alabama. The map shows federal and stagecoach roads, forts, and rivers. The map also shows the site of the Calebee Battle that took place during the Creek War, 1813-1814. There is a compass rose showing the orientation of north located in the upper right side. In the lower left side, a handwritten phrase states: "From aerial photos. Hale". "Sheet #6" is also handwritten on the map. There is an "Auburn University Libraries, Auburn, Alabama, Map Collection" property stamp dated July 16, 1990 in the lower right. In each corner, there is a handwritten "7" in red. This is a photocopy of a hand drawn blueprint and is not encapsulated. The map is in fair condition with some blue stains on the creases.
