The map contains a legend on the right side, a locator map of Alabama with the county highlighted in the lower right corner, a graph of approximate mean declination right above the bottom neat line, and a table of dated revisions with the latest revision done in 1967 to the left of the graph. The map was "prepared by the Alabama State Highway Department Division of Highway Planning in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Public Works." Map caption: "Control by USC & GS, and Alabama Highway Department. Transverse Mercator Projection. 1927 North American Datum. 30,000 foot grid based on Alabama (West) rectangular coordinate system.
