Venus' fly-trap

A rare and unique perennial found growing on low, wet sandy roadsides and ditches. When certain hairs on its 2-lobed leaves are triggered by an insect, the leaf folds rapidly. The interlocking teeth form a cage in which the intruding insect is trapped.
