Candyweed, Yellow Milkwort

A native glabrous biennial, growing in sandy swamps, bogs, and wet pinelands on the coastal plain. Leafless spikes, 8-18 in. long, grow from a rosette of blunt succulent leaves. Orange-yellow flowerheads are compact racemes about 3/4 in. wide.
