Redbud, Judas Tree
A small fast-growing tree, often cultivated for its profuse show of tiny pink-purple blossoms which appear in mid-February to April, before the leaves. The opposite and glabrous leaves are heart-shaped; and the fruit is a flat pod 1-3 in. long.
