Doll's-eyes, Baneberry

Herbaceous perennial growing about 2 ft. tall. The compound leaves are divided into 3 groups of 3 - 5 leaflets. Both the berries and the leaves are poisonous. This uncommon plant is also called Baneberry, which refers to its poison. It is found in rich, shady woods and blooms in April and May.
