Hairy Phlox

A common pink phlox of dry wodlands and roadsides. It likes sunny, well-drained ordinary soil. The leaves are elliptic or lanceolate, up to 2 in. long, with long hairs. The inflorescenace is also hairy. It blooms from April - June.
