Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Indian Turnip
This perennial grows in deep rich woods. The leaves are three-parted and the spathe, the "pulpit", is a modified leaf. A single spadix usually bears either male or female flowers. This plant is sometimes called Indian Turnip.
