The Florence Free Kindergarten Established September 3, 1898 Founded through the efforts of Miss Loulie Johnes, Mrs John R. Price, Mr. Frank Jackson, Mr. Thomas Phillip, Teacher Miss Maud McKnight Lindsay Teacher, Writer, Philanthropist. The Monument erected for Miss Maud Lindsay in Appreciation of her life of service to the community. By students and friends Mrs. Grover Garner Chairman September 3, 1970." |
