1950: API's Lathe
The Lathe, shown here in 1950, has been in Auburn since its move from Birmingham, Alabama, in 1936. During the Civil War, it was used to make cannons for the South. Legend says if an Auburn man brings a woman to the Lathe and kisses her at midnght, the Lathe will not move if she is a 'true'...
