1950: 'Doc' Hodge Freeman Drake
Often seen leading the cheers on the sidelines was 'Doc" Hodge Freeman Drake. He worked in the Varsity Barbershop on North College St. shining shoes and ever willing to talk about his Tigers with locals Albert 'Snowball' Williams, Gergis Moore, and Morris Chappell.
