Oliver be charged tuition for one pupil only i n the Preparatory Department in consequence of irregular attendance. C. D. Oliver, RESOLVED, that the same officers be continued f or the ensuing year, with the exception of Vice President, Eev. O. R. Blue and the Board elected Rev. F. G. Fur­guson Vice President. WHEREAS, the, Rev. C. D. Oliver had stolen from him on board of a steam boat on the Alabama River, orie hundred dollars, which-he had collected in Mobile on a note the property. of the Coll ege'. THEREFORE, RESOLVED , the claim on the Rev •. C. D. 'Oliver for the said $100 be relinquished to him and that he be held no longer responsible. ;RESOLVED , that the Rev. C. D. Oliver ha.s the ·thanksof the Board for t he claim of one hundred dollars on the Board of Trustees of this Weslyan University at Florence which he has this day generously donated. RESOLVED, that the regular financi al year of the College shall be considered as closing on the Honday preceding, the 2nd i/iednesday in July of each year. RESOLVED , t hat the President and 'Secretary be and they are hereby authorized ano required to settle at the close of each financial year by note due one day aft er date with each member of the faculty for the bal ance that may be still due him on account of salary for that year. f 52 RESOLV4D , th~t the , proc~ed~ arls~g from tuition accounts due for any previous ,year, ' shall when collected be paid over to those members of the faculty whp hpld, notes for balances of salaries for. that y~ar and shall be r egularly credited on those notes. RESOLVED , that should no member of. the faculty hold a note against the College for that previous year during wbicb these accounts accrued, then the proc eeds of these accounts when collected shall be paid out t o t hose members of the faculty holding the oldest notes for salary and shall. be regularly credited on those notes at t he time of payments. RESOLVED, that the Rev. E. J. Hamil, Rev. C. D. Oliver, and Rev. "v'L B. Neal be and they are hereby appointed a committee to now~n ate Trustees and r eport t o the next session of the Methodist 'Church South. RESOLVED, t hat f or the next financial year the salary of the President shall be. fifteen hundred and seventy f our dollars, and that . of . eac~ profe ssor shall be eleven , hundred dollars. FROVIDED~ however, that should the redeipts from tuition . fees and the interest accruing from the endowment fund amount in this aggregate to a l ar ger sum than the aggregate of this salary, then this excess shall be divided out pro rata to the faculty, and shall be applied to that extent t o the increase of their sal~ri ~ s.
