Summary:Rod Lancaster was an Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) basketball player during the 1944/45 and 1945/46 seasons. the first two seasons after Auburn resumed intercollegiate sports. He graduated from Auburn in March 1946 with a degree in veterinary medicine. Lancaster attended Auburn under an intensive four years done as three years program the university offered during World War II. In 1951-53, Lancaster served with the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps as a meat inspector in Korea. He went on to have a long career as a veterinarian in the North Carolina Outer Banks. This photo was taken in Jan. 1946 for the Athletic Association. Lancaster is shown here preparing to shoot a basketball. See the 1946 Glomerata, p. 166-167 for details.
