Summary: | Edward Houston Wills was a student at the Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University), class of 1901. Mr. Wills went on to earn an MA at Cornell in 1926. He was registrar and business manager at Alabama College (now the University of Montevallo), from approximately 1906 until his death on June 4, 1946. Wills Hall on the University of Montevallo campus is named after him, as is the Edward Houston Wills master's degree program for certified teachers to continue their education. Mr. Wills was born in 1883 in Tennessee. Male students at Auburn were called cadets and participated in military training in addition to their studies.
