Summary:An official U.S. government portrait of Major General Frank L. Winn taken on November 12, 1918, the day after the Armistice ending World War I was signed, also the day Winn was put back in command of the 89th Division, 4th Army Corps (a position he had held twice previously). The 89th was deactivated in May 1919 as part of a general demobilization of troups. The picture was taken at Tailly, Ardennes, France.
