Letter from George Bray to his family in Montgomery, Alabama.
During World War II, Bray served as a gunner's mate on the USS Samuel B. Roberts. In this letter he describes his experience in the Philippines when his ship was sunk by the Japanese in the Leyte Gulf on October 24, 1944.
