Description
Summary:Gregory, a grocer from the Birmingham area, writes the Alabama State Council of Defense that he has "adopted the One Delivery System; and also I have discontinued taking orders by boys as heretofore - from House to House." Gregory states that other merchants are still using "order boys" and are actively soliciting business from his customers. An enclosed notice to his customers of the changes states, "I deem these changes in my business essential to help win the war, and hope my customers will consider this in the same way, and continue to give me their valued patronage."
