Summary:In January 1827 the Alabama General Assembly passed several acts relating to the construction of a state capitol in Tuscaloosa. The acts required that the attorney general secure "good and sufficient titles" in the name of the governor, which were to be filed with the secretary of state. This series consists of those titles and related items, including deeds and contracts between the state and the commissioners of the town of Tuscaloosa.
