Summary:During the Civil War, Francis McDade Danielly was a member of the 14th Alabama Infantry, Company K. In this letter, Danielly writes about sickness in camp and describes how members of his company wounded during the Seven Days' Battles are recovering. In a postscript, he tells his wife how he misses their children: "Tell Matty & Jimmy & Sally that their Pa wants to see them especially little Sally I want to hear them talk & sit on my knees once more But I don't expect little Sally would know me nor any of the rest of the children."
