Letter from Francis McDade Danielly in Richmond, Virginia, to his wife, Elizabeth, in Louina, Alabama.

During the Civil War, Danielly was a member of the 14th Alabama Infantry, Company K. In this letter he explains that he is in Richmond recovering from jaundice. He notes "there is nearly five thousand sick soldiers in & around Richmond at this time but there is not very many dangerous cases...
