Letter from Bolling Hall, Jr., at Union Ford near Manassas Junction, Virginia, to his father in Alabama.
From May 1861 to early 1862 Bolling Hall, Jr., served in the 6th Alabama Infantry. In the letter he discusses mutual acquaintances; supplies he needs; and upcoming troop movements. He mentions that the person delivering the letter will "give you all the news." A transcription is included.
