Summary:The book gives the daily attendance record for the students; individual quarterly records of grades and absences; the daily classroom schedule; a list of subjects studied and assignments completed by the class throughout the year; and a list of students who were promoted to the sixth grade. Also included are the students' ages, parents, addresses, dates of enrollment, and (when applicable) dates and reasons for withdrawal; several children left school to begin working in local mills. Instructions for using the record book are also included.
