Letter from James R. Riggs near Shelbyville, Tennessee, to his sister, Sallie.

During the Civil War, Riggs served in Company G of the 27th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. In the letter he discusses gathering clothing for soldiers; his desire to see his father and other family members; and the officers who have been commanding his company.
