| Summary: | Most of the documents deal with either the emancipation of slaves or the transfer of slave ownership to other family members. In addition to these records, there is a resolution (dated June 29, 1825) in which leaders of the Broken Arrow Council House pardon "all of the late Genl. McIntosh's party who have opposed the laws of the nation." The pardoned individuals "are invited to return to their usual places of abode or elsewhere" to partake in the "full enjoyments of peace and security, and of all the rights & privileges granted to them by our laws." |
