Summary: | In the letter, written shortly after the assassination of John Kennedy, Sheldon accuses Lee Harvey Oswald of Communist activities and ultimately blames the president's death on Communism: "I feel that now is the time to organize our forces. About all that we can do is to try to make the 'New Frontier' take a good look at who and what is really responsible for the death of our president. While I am sure that it was not a plot known to Khrushchev or Castro, it was because of the poison that they are allowd [sic] to spread in this country that this young man's mind was impinged by the Communist idea. To me, this was a Communist killing in Dallas last Friday. Every one from the Chief Justice in the Rotunda at the lying in state of the president's body has tried to lay this to Southern Radicals, the 'Right Wing extreamists [sic]', hate groups and God knows what. Someone of a responsible nature must take a good long look at the true facts of the case and present them in a clear loud voice. For the ADA and Liberal factions to do this means that they are going to have to admit to their fuzzy thinking over the past years in co-existing with the Commie ideals." He also discusses the mission and history of the International Anti-Communist Brigade and asks Greer to act as the organization's chairman in South Carolina.
