description |
The letter, dated January 21, 1873, is from the firm of Williams and Gaddis. It informs Warrick of the firm's intentions to sell the property he had purchased from E. Blum. (Blum had transferred the mortgage to Williams and Gaddis and instructed them to "sell out everybody that did not pay.") However, the firm has recently learned that Warrick has some cotton at a local gin house, so they are giving him a chance to make a payment on his debt. The mortgage notice, dated March 11, 1880, announces the sale of Warrick's property, to be held on May 5. |
