Summary:In the first letter, dated November 14, 1941, Moseley explains that he has been working to organize school defense councils in Anniston, and he encloses several items related to the city's observation of American Education Week (November 9 through 15, 1941): a bulletin sent to all principals and teachers in the system, in which he explains the theme and outlines a plan for a local school defense program; a leaflet announcing the theme of the week ("For a Strong America"), which includes a personal typed message from Moseley; and an issue of "Flash!," the newsletter published by the Anniston High School journalism class. In the second letter, dated November 17, Cole acknowledges receipt of Moseley's letter and thanks him for sending the extra materials.
