Promissory note from W. W. West of Uniontown, Alabama, agreeing to pay W. D. Burford $200 on October 1, 1871.
West borrowed "necessary provisions and money" from Burford in order "to procure the necessary teams, provision and farming implements to make a crop" for the year. A handwritten note on the back records that West repaid the debt on the required day.
